Mike Harris, the JUCO All-American cornerback out of El’ Camino Junior College in Torrance, Calif., has garnered quite a bit of attention from some major college programs as of late. 

The 5-foot-11, 190-pound standout and his fellow teammates had a ballgame recently, and we were able to get the scoop on where Harris is in the recruiting process.

Will Matthews – So Mike, how has practice been going?

Mike Harris – Practice has been going great. The team has really come together even more than last year it seems, and I’m really excited to see what’s in store for us if we handle our business.

WM – How did you guys do last week in your first ballgame?

MH – We did good. We played LA Southwest and won 46-12.

WM – And how did you play?

MH – I played good. They didn’t throw my way once, but I was able to help out a lot against the run.

WM – Have any schools tried to reach you recently?

MH – Yeah, Kansas State has contacted me. They said that they’re interested in me.

WM – So which school again are you most interested in right now? Has anything changed since the last time we talked?

MH – Besides Bama? Michigan, Oklahoma State, LSU and Tennessee.

WM – Any favorites?

MH – Alabama is still my favorite school. Everyone else is pretty much even.

WM – Have any coaches from Alabama talked with you recently?

MH – They sure have, Coach Mac (offensive coordinator Jim McElwain) got up with me recently. We had a good talk. He said ...
