Alabama fans -- not to mention Nick Saban -- can maybe breathe a little easier today.
After a season like the one the currently top-ranked and undefeated Crimson Tide has had in '09, keeping the coaching staff as intact as possible would certainly bode well for Alabama's future fortunes.
Linebackers coach Sal Sunseri, credited both for the Tide's improved pass rush this season and for a lot of the success the Tide has had on the recruiting trail in '09, has only been at Alabama one year, but there's no question he's a hot commodity and coveted by numerous schools.
His name has at one time or another been mentioned recently with openings at Florida State (defensive coordinator) and Marshall (head coach).
However, it was reported today that Florida State has gone with Arizona defensive coordinator Mark Stoops, according to at least one source, and Marshall reportedly interviewed Florida State offensive line coach Rick Trickett for its head coaching position on Friday. Three other names, none of them Sunseri's, were also mentioned Friday as being linked to the Marshall job.
