Nick Saban discusses spring improvements

Prac_10UA_14Overall with 10 practices under their belt Nick Saban has said that this team, as he does with every team, is trying to find their identity.  However, comments from Saban have indicated that he is pleased with the work that this team is putting in so far this spring. He explained that last year’s team “kind of lost our identity” at the end of the season”.

The players have seemed to have re-bought into the Saban philosophy so far as the players have tried to focus more on the details and improving specific parts of their game. Derrick Henry and O.J. Howard are two that Saban pointed out during his press conference as Henry is “having a fabulous spring” and Howard is “improving with his blocking”.  Identifying what type of team they want to be is still a work in progress but Saban said that “There’s nobody on our team who can’t improve, including me,” and as far as identity goes well Saban has an idea as to what it should be “Alabama football is supposed to be tough physical football”.
