Alabama Set to Host Round Two of the NIT

The defending 2012 NIT champions and current fourth-seed Stanford Cardinals had a hard fought game last night as they took on Stephen F Austin.  The game went back and forth and came down to the last shot which was missed by the Lumberjacks’ Desmond Haymon to give the win to the Cardinals 58-57. The win by Stanford at home now sends them to Tuscaloosa for the second round where they will face top-seeded Alabama in Coleman Coliseum on Saturday, March 23, at 11 a.m. CDT (noon EDT).

General admission tickets for the Alabama-Stanford game are on sale beginning Wednesday morning at 8 a.m. CDT.

All seats for the NIT are general admission, except courtside (front court and back court) and baseline seating areas.

The Crimson Tide advanced Tuesday at home with a 62-43 victory over eighth-seeded Northeastern. (Article)
