Alabama v. Tennessee 1st half

The Tennessee Volunteers have been looking forward to this game just as much as we have. UT Head Coach Derek Dooley did not let a recent hip surgery stop him. Coaching from a stool on the sideline, Tennessee scored the first points against Alabama in the first quarter all season.

QB AJ McCarron showed Alabama fans that his injured knee is nothing to worry about in the first few plays of the game and a 23-yard pass to Amari Cooper for a touchdown. Freshman Cyrus Jones showed off his punt return skills in the first half with 35 yards in the first quarter and, 58 yards in the second.

In what looked like a bad hold by AJ McCarron, kicker Jeremy Shelley missed an extra point after a 1-yard touchdown by TJ Yeldon but, got another chance after a 1-yard pass from McCarron and redeemed himself.

At the end of the 1st half Alabama leave the field with 23 points.
