Just what has the MDB been up to lately? The Million Dollar Band has had a busy year so far with its Centennial Anniversary festivities. This season, the MDB celebrated its anniversary by inviting all alumni band members to perform with current MDB members at the Florida-Atlantic game on September 22. This event was followed by a Centennial Gala where past and present MDB members were invited to attend for food and fun as they browsed through pictures and memorabilia from the past 100 years.
Currently, the MDB is performing its “Jersey Boys” halftime show with songs “Who Loves You” and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You.” They will be performing this show at the Tennessee, Mississippi State, and LSU games.. They are currently working on their Veterans Day show which will be performed on November 11 in honor of all former and current soldiers. This show consists of songs saluting all branches of military.
The Million Dollar Band will be traveling to both the Tennessee and LSU games within the next three weeks. On Friday, October 19th, the band will perform a pep rally at the Fairgrounds in Chattanooga, Tennessee from 12-12:30 pm for all Bama fans traveling to Tennessee. Fans are invited to attend and support the MDB as they cheer on the Crimson Tide.
The University of Alabama has great tradition with Tennessee as they have been rivals for years which is making for lots of excitement on UA’s campus for “Tennessee Hate Week.”
We’re expecting a showdown in Rocky Top on Saturday and Crimson Confidential will keep you posted every step of the way. Until then, Roll Tide!
