Alabama Basketball Day 1

On Thursday Alabama Basketball held its first press conference for the media and after last years underwhelming record we were all looking for a glimmer of hope in what Coach Anthony Grant and his players had to say.

Going into the 2012-2013 season Alabama Basketball fans are all looking forward to what freshman Devonta Pollard will bring to the table. The four-star forward from Da Kalb, MS has the opportunity to bring the Tide back from the dark side.

“He’s doing really good, picking up on everything, going to be a big part of our success this year.” Senior Drew Steele said about Pollard.

With only a few practices under their belts so far the Alabama Basketball team was wide eyed and filled with excitement on Thursday having worked hard during the offseason.

“Practice has been tough. We haven’t had many yet but its good to be back in the flow of basketball season.” Sophomore Levi Randolph said about being back in the Coliseum.

With this early combination of enthusiasm and young gun Devonta Pollard it’s looking like Alabama Basketball may have a chance this season.
