BIg Bama Egos

The Alabama Crimson Tide is 4-0 coming off their win against Florida Atlantic. Racking up 221 passing yards and, 204 rushing yards in four weeks isn’t too shabby but there is something missing.
While playing Michigan at Cowboys Stadium in the season opener was a rush it is getting harder for Alabama fans to summon that adrenaline filled “Roll Tide!” They are so accustomed to. Western Kentucky, Arkansas, and Florida Atlantic all have their own strong points but they are high school freshman B squads compared to teams like LSU, Georgia, and Oregon that we look forward to challenging every season. We call them “Cupcake,” teams for a reason, we run all over them, the stands start thinning at half time and, the outcome is always predictable.
With Alabama’s game against Ole Miss coming up fans are able to look forward to a long standing rivalry and a Saturday filled with tradition. However, even with new Coach, Hugh Freeze, Ole Miss is in no way a challenge for the No. 1 team in the country.
Aside from ‘Bama fans getting antsy awaiting a team that can score more than two touchdowns against the Tide, the players cant help but develop over the top egos and heads that can barely fit into the media room.
“They don’t need to worry about the score board, they just need to focus on what is next in the game.” Coach Nick Saban said Monday. Even with the legendary Nick Saban coaching them to focus, the smile on AJ McCarron’s face tells all; they know who they are and what they can do.
